Why join a hosted trip?
Preparation before departure
Work through tackle, packing and travel connections with us before you leave. We coordinate the island arrangements and explain what to expect.
Local knowledge. A traveling host.
Local guides bring their knowledge of Anaa’s water. Your No Slack Loops host travels with the group and works alongside the island team throughout the expedition.
A small group to share it with
Fish in pairs, compare the day’s encounters over dinner and settle into the week with a group of up to six anglers who become good friends over the week.

New flats.
Let the games begin.
Bonefish and giant trevally are our principal targets. Anaa offers visual fishing across shallow lagoon flats, with reef edges and moving water providing different opportunities as conditions change.
Expect to look carefully, walk patiently and make your chances count. Clear water makes spotting fish absorbing work—and gives those fish a good opportunity to spot you.
On hosted trips, you fish two anglers per lead guide. Boats take you to the day’s water, with packed lunches and drinking water aboard. Local guides choose where to fish around tides, light, wind and fish activity. A developing junior guide may also accompany each pair, supporting local guiding capacity.

Stay with our
local hosts
Our hosted groups stay at a family-run homestay in Tukuhora. Shared dining and communal spaces give everyone a place to settle in, prepare for the next day and get to know the people welcoming us onto their island.
Rooms are simple, with a mix of single and twin accommodation. Available single rooms are allocated by lottery, so some anglers will share. Your pre-trip night at Hilton Hotel Tahiti is in a single room.
Expect an informal island homestay. Check your departure page for the room arrangements and the services included in your programme.
Shared meals.
Unhurried evenings.
Our local family and hospitality team prepare the meals. Breakfast generally brings fruit, coffee, bread, local honey and eggs. Packed lunches, snacks and drinking water go with you on fishing days.
Evenings bring island cooking built around fish, chicken, rice, vegetables and local produce, supplemented with supplies brought in for the trip. A lobster dinner or traditional pig roast may feature when availability and community plans allow.
There may be opportunities to join island activities such as cycling, kayaking, football or community gatherings. These are part of island life and depend on what is happening during your visit.
Wi-Fi is available at the homestay, but speed and reliability are limited. Plan for time offline, and bring the personal essentials you need for a remote island stay.

Anaa fishing FAQs
A few practical answers to help you plan. Open a question below, or contact us to discuss your trip.
How do I get to Anaa?
Fly internationally to Papeete, Tahiti, then connect to Anaa on Air Tahiti. Our hosted programmes include the return domestic flights and a pre-trip night in Tahiti. Island services are limited and future timetables remain subject to confirmation. Check the connections with us before booking international travel.
Do I need saltwater fly-fishing experience?
Tell us about your casting, wading and previous fishing experience before booking. We’ll discuss the demands of the trip and how to prepare. Practising accurate casts before departure will help you make more of your opportunities.
Can I join a hosted trip on my own?
Yes — you’re welcome to enquire as an individual angler. We’ll confirm space and discuss fishing pairs and room arrangements with you. Available single rooms on Anaa are allocated by lottery, so some anglers will share.
Can I fish Anaa outside your hosted dates?
Contact us about independent dates or a trip for your own group. Availability depends on local guides, accommodation and flight connections. We’ll explain the support available and confirm the proposed arrangements before you commit.
What equipment should I bring?
Bring your own fishing tackle for the hosted expeditions. We provide a detailed tackle and packing list before departure and can discuss suitable equipment with you. Please check domestic baggage allowances with us as part of your preparation.
